Hyperselfie explores the interplay between writing and photographic representation. While photography captures fleeting moments of no return, the process of image generation from prompt input is in repetitive loops, emptying the meaning of symbols and no longer from analogous real life. The series of algorithmic selfies shows a challenge between self-representation and the eyes of others. Self-descriptive words are pixelated into image-writing. This invites audiences to reflect on how the evolution of images has changed the social meaning of writing. Have AI-generated images become a manifestation of hyperreality?
